Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP)

The Business Energy Efficiency Programme is a European Regional Development Funded project that supports eligible businesses to become more resource efficient. BEEP can provide grants of up to 40% of the total cost of a project, to the maximum contribution of £20,000, for businesses to improve their energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions based on the recommendations from a free site visit that will identify where carbon and energy reductions can be made. Qualifying businesses are situated in and trading from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire or Telford & Wrekin.

Eligibility

Be situated in and trading from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire or Telford & Wrekin
Employ Fewer than 250 Employees
Turnover of less than €50 million or a balance sheet of less than €43 million
Primarily trade business to business
Minimum energy spends of £2,000 – £4,000, depending on business sector
Industries such as primary agriculture, retail, education facilities, social welfare, education facilities, banking and insurance are not eligible for support

Funding

40% of the cost of energy or resource saving projects with grant funding between £2,000 and £20,000 dependent on the amount of carbon tonnes saved.

Any project that delivers a carbon saving can be considered, typical projects include:

Energy Efficient LED Lighting
Energy Efficient Heating
Destratification Fans
Heat Recovery
Water Efficient Devices
Insulation Improvements
Replacement of old and inefficient machinery
Variable speed drives
