Health & Safety
The importance of Health & Safety in the workplace cannot be underestimated - 40 million working days were lost to occupational injury and ill health in 2001-2002. Pro Enviro offer a range of courses that aim to impart knowledge on the reader to make them aware of a number of issues, including:
- Legal duties
- Identification and management of risks
- Reducing workplace risks
- Employer responsibilities
- Employee responsibilities
As an example, below is an extract from the course titled: Health & Safety for Employees.
"It is recognised that employees will often be closer to the Health and Safety issues surrounding a particular process or task at work. Employers have responsibilities for complying with current Health and Safety law and ensuring that the workplace is free from unacceptable risks. There is a large amount of legislation and guidance surrounding this requirement and penalties for non-compliance can be severe. As an employee you are expected to take whatever steps are necessary to protect your Health and Safety and to ensure that others do not become injured or ill through your acts or omissions. A general understanding of workplace safety will allow you to meet with these requirements. In most cases a detailed knowledge of particular Health and Safety regulations is not required."
Pro Enviro also offer the following health and safety-related course:
- Health & Safety for Directors and Managers
