IPPC Training
IPPC is aimed at specific facilities and operations, which are deemed to be polluting or have a potential to pollute. The underlying factors behind the IPPC regime include an increased awareness of the activities of man that are producing significant, and possibly accelerated, pollution of air, land and water resources on a worldwide level. Major concerns include the serious and adverse effects of Climate Change resulting from the release of Carbon Dioxide and other Climate altering chemicals into the atmosphere. Other significant concerns include the pollution of water, a resource essential to life, and the contamination of land.
The course covers the following topics:
- History and background on the IPPC regime
- The main principles of IPPC
- Detailed information about the requirements of the IPPC regime
- The principle differences between the IPC, LAPC and IPPC regimes
- The PPC Regulations 2000
- The requirements of IPPC permitting and the permit application process
- The consequences of associated offences
