Pro Enviro and ECO3 are running a proactive business improvement project that seeks to minimise the waste stream from manufacturing processes through supporting the implementation of environmental lean manufacturing techniques.
Our region has a strong manufacturing base with a good background in the implementation of manufacturing improvement techniques such as lean manufacturing but there is a limited appreciation of the business benefits associated with effective environmental systems and processes. This European funded programme offers the opportunity for you to improve your business efficiency while enhancing your company’s image with your clients and suppliers.
Working with you, we will improve the capability of your companies’ workforce, enabling them to introduce lean manufacturing in an environmentally sustainable way. With ever increasing environmental demands being placed on companies in the region, including;
- end of vehicle life directive,
- hazardous waste regulations,
- IPPC,
- increasing landfill taxes,
it is no longer enough to concentrate on manufacturing improvements without giving due consideration to the longer term environmental impacts of the process being used.
