What is CoDesign?
CoDesign is improving the Design and Development Capabilities of SME Automotive Suppliers in the West Midlands. Linked to the Accelerate Programme and funded through an European Social Fund Objective 3 grant, CoDesign offers a free programme in Design & Development for the Environment.
What are the Benefits of CoDesign?
The programme can prime your capability in;
- responding to customers' environmental concerns,
- achieving potential savings from waste minimisation & resource efficiency, and,
- future proofing against legislation such as the ELV Directive.
As pressure continues to mount at the governmental level, the major OEM's are compelled to adopt new environmental strategies which will influence those companies who wish to remain within the supply chain. Without a commitment to reducing environmental impacts to run alongside the traditional QCD performance measures suppliers may not be able to compete for new business with the OEMs.
In response CoDesign support includes introductory training sessions, development workshops, online training materials, case studies and checklists - to suit both customers and suppliers, working in collaboration.
