Protesters block airport lounge

October 8, 2007

A group of about 12 environmental protesters has blocked an entrance to the departure lounge at Manchester International Airport Terminal Three.

The group is inside a public area and is currently not causing a security problem, an airport spokesman said.

Greater Manchester Police are working with airport staff to arrange alternative access routes to the departure lounge.

Terminal Three at the airport is used for domestic flights.
