Campaigners have lost their High Court battle to stop pollution from a cement plant in Rugby.
People living near Rugby Cement took the Environment Agency to court for giving the company a licence to make cement and burn tyres at the site.
They were challenging the Agency's decision to grant a "Pollution Prevention and Control Permit."
The High Court refused to overturn the permits on Wednesday and also awarded costs to the Environment Agency.
Local pressure group, Rugby in Plume, maintain the cement works is causing major pollution in the town.
The Agency says it will now carefully consider how the judgement should be applied and identify any implications for how it grants permits in the future.
It also says it will continue to regulate Rugby Cement in a firm but fair way.
