Environmental laws cause Coca-Cola earnings to dip

The Coca-Cola organisation yesterday blamed, in part, new recycling laws as it issued a profit warning.

The world's biggest soft drinks maker said its third-quarter earnings per share would be down at least 24%.

Germany has caused particular problems with new environmental laws that have forced a swap from plastic to glass bottles - with deposits to encourage returns.
