Offshore wind farm given the go-ahead

Welsh Assembly Members have backed a controversial plan for a large wind farm off the south coast of Wales.
After a public inquiry, the assembly's planning committee has approved the proposals for thirty 400ft turbines at Scarweather sands off Porthcawl.
Friends of the Earth welcomed the backing for the "clean, powerful and quiet" energy source.
